- Reviewing technical standards and criteria, such as ASTM, CAN/CSA, CAN/CGSB, ICC-ES, CCMC, for testing various building materials
- Setting up and operating test equipment per requirements of test standard
- Setting up tests may include framing wall assemblies, installing roofing or siding material, masonry work
- Demolition and disposal of tested material
- Obtaining and recording test data using measurement equipment per test standards
- Analyzing test data, performing routine calculations, and interpreting results to determine compliance to standards
- May prepare technical reports
- May communicate with clients

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES**:

- Ability to lift heavy weights routinely
- Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools
- Ability to drive forklift (will provide training)
- Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Attention to detail

**About the Team**

The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment. The team offers the architectural, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry with a full suite of capabilities both in the lab and on site.

**Salary**: $21.92-$35.77 per hour
