SEKA Construction is a growing company serving the greater Ottawa region and Ontario. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced commercial construction estimator to join our dynamic team. As a construction estimator, you will play a key role in accurately assessing project costs and providing detailed estimates to support our construction initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in commercial construction estimating and a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and evaluations to assess project scope, potential risks, and logístical considerations.
- Utilize construction industry knowledge and expertise to identify and quantify project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
- Prepare detailed and comprehensive cost estimates, including itemized breakdowns and supporting documentation.
- Evaluate and analyze project bids, proposals, and vendor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Participate in bid review meetings, providing insight and recommendations based on cost estimations.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and stakeholders to review, refine estimates, and price additional scope of work as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of estimates, bids, and related documentation.
- Oversee project until completion.

**Requirements**:

- Degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, architectural or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 year experience as a commercial construction Estimator
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards
- Proficient in ready and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and other constructions documents.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to accurately estimate costs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permit processes.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to construction sites as needed.
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office an asset.
- Competitive salary upon experience.

**Experience**:
