**Overview**
Reporting to the VP, Production Operations, the CAM Operator will be responsible for the programming, set-up and operation of CNC milling machines or other equipment to produce high-quality, precision parts used in our advanced technology solutions. This role is critical to our production process, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the parts we manufacture and the optimal performance of our products.
**Duties**
- Operate CNC machines to manufacture components with high precision.
- Program or set-up CNC machines based to manufacture parts which meet requirements defined by Wolf engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate measurements of manufactured parts.
- Determine and setup tooling and fixtures as required for machining processes.
- Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet required specifications.
- Perform necessary routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to implement Lean manufacturing practices for improved efficiency within Manufacturing at Wolf.
- Perform accurate work-in-process dimensional or surface verification to specification by: using precision measuring instruments to check straight cuts, shapes, threads, holes, tapers, hardness, and surfaces; deburring work pieces; and performing in-process inspections.
- Assemble components as required, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production flow.
- Keep machines and surrounding area clean while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Follow and comply with all AS9100 and ISO 9001 manufacturing and quality standards, regulations, legislative and customer requirements to ensure highest standards are maintained;
- Abide with instructions, regulations and safety policies;
- Additional duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment;
- CNC Machinist certificate is an asset;
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
- Programming CNC machines, using SolidWorks is an asset;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Experience in the Military or Aerospace industries is an asset;
- Good organization and multitasking abilities;
- A keen eye for detail; and
- Good command over MS Office products.
WOLF Advanced Technology Inc. is a military and aerospace manufacturer requiring strict adherence to CGP and ITAR requirements.
Applicants must be able to provide valid documentation to show either Canadian or US citizenship, or Canadian Permanent Resident, and undergo a police check with no criminal background.
Pay: $55,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
