Yardman

Varsteel, a privately owned full-line steel distributor with branches across Western Canada and the

United States, specializes in the distribution and processing of carbon and alloy steel products. We

currently have exciting opportunities for full-time, permanent Yardman positions at our Delta branch.

Primary Responsibilities: The Yardman’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Pulling, assembling, loading, and unloading various steel products for customer orders.

Ensuring trailers are loaded in compliance with D.O.T. Load Securement Regulations for

secure material transport.

Conducting quality control checks to ensure accuracy and product quality.

Consistent final inspection of all outgoing materials.

Accurately recording information related to orders and inventory.

Unloading incoming materials.

Reporting any equipment requiring maintenance or repair.

Safely operating all applicable equipment.

Maintaining high housekeeping standards.

Participating in all health and safety training.

Performing any other assigned duties as required.

Skill Requirements:
Experience with cranes, forklifts
- class IV, V, VII, chop saws, torches, and various hand tools is

not necessary but considered an asset.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Mechanical aptitude is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $26.30-$32.88 per hour based on CBA

$500.00 signing bonus to be received upon the completion of probation
