**Director, Mortgage Underwriting**:

- Ability to work under pressure and manage a high performing team.
- Minimum of 5 years Alternative/Private lending underwriting experience.
- Credit decisioning and operational management experience.
- A post-secondary diploma/degree ideally in Business, or related experience is required.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Completion of the mortgage agent course is an asset.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Management of day-to-day underwriting operations.
- Overseeing the residential and construction mortgage pipeline including managing the progress of existing construction mortgages to ensure regular draws are being made.
- Reporting and analysis on the mortgage portfolio.
- Review of existing processes to locate and resolve inefficiencies.
- Detect, prevent and report suspected misrepresentations.
- Reviewing documentation provided to fulfill the conditions precedent for funding.
- Providing brokers with consistent training/guidance and mortgage options to assist in making informed decisions.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with both external and internal stakeholders to achieve pre-determined volume and efficiency goals.
