**Minimum Qualifications**:Must currently be enrolled in a recognized and accredited Canadian post-secondary institution throughout the duration of the co-op term. You must also be returning to a post-secondary institution after the co-op term is completed. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PST or MDT or relocate to a specific office (Vancouver or site-based)

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement, demonstrate, and maintain Teck’s commitment to health, safety, environmental and community (HSEC) protection as a core value.
- Provide technical support and coordination of resources for geoscience data acquisition, validation, and analysis.
- Work collaboratively with geoscience, mining geologists and industry data scientists to support training of machine learning algorithms for resource estimation, throughput, and structural geology.

**Qualifications**:

- BSc or MSc Geoscience degree. A focus on structural geology being an asset.
- Eligibility for professional or GIT designation in British Columbia.
- Technical knowledge and experience with Porphyry Cu-(Au, Mo) systems.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and integrate large geoscience datasets.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills and an ability to prepare technical reports and presentations to assist management in decision-making. Spanish language skills will be considered an advantage.
- Motivated self-starter who can thrive as an independent worker and in team settings.
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to motivate and inspire others, to share ownership and responsibility for project outcomes, and to work effectively in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams.
- Committed to high health and safety standards in the workplace.
