Reporting to the Maintenance Director, the Electromechanic will have to support and optimize production on a daily basis through effective preventive maintenance and respond to unplanned calls in order to achieve organizational objectives. As part of a team of electromechanics, he will be called upon to cover the entire plant and building in his various interventions. He will also be called upon to work in multidisciplinary teams on implementation, repair or improvement projects.

**Salary**: starting at $37.03/h + shift premiums + electrical license bonus

**Status**: Unionized position

**Hourly**: Day 8 hrs for training and then, night 12 hrs (3-2-2-3). Shift assignment is granted by seniority and shift choice preference. As a new hire, you must be available to work nights for the 12 hrs.

**Summary of responsibilities**:

- Diagnose robotic and programmable logic controller problems.
- Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, CNC, PLC, robots, ABB, etc.
- Interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical plans.
- Participate in the improvement of processes and equipment.
- Ensure the installation, modifications, repairs or changes of parts of production equipment.
- Participate in the implementation of new projects and improve the robustness of equipment in multidisciplinary teams.
- Complete all documentation inherent to his workstation.

**Qualifications and requirements**:
**Education**:

- DEP in electromechanics of automated systems, in industrial mechanics or any other equivalent training.
- Secondary 5 completed.
- Licence in electricity or restricted certificate in equipment connection (asset).

**Experience**:

- Experience in Siemens PLC programming (asset).

**Knowledge**:

- Good knowledge of hydraulics (essential).
- Good mechanical, electrical and automated systems knowledge.
- General computer knowledge.
- Have an understanding of geometric dimensional tolerances.
- Have an understanding of metal forming processes (asset).

**Essential skills required**:

- Good command of the French language, both spoken and written
- Functional English in order to be able to understand manufacturer manuals, do research or intervene with different stakeholders
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good priority management and organizational skills
- Good understanding of safety rules and vigilance

- Ability to work under pressure while remaining calm during interventions
