Lindsay, Canada City of Kawartha Lakes - Victoria Manor Full time

As directed by the Registered staff, is responsible to follow the plan of care to assist Personal Support Workers by providing non-care related support to the residents including:

- Bed making, changing linens, sanitizing mattresses surfaces
- Restock supplies, check equipment, organize care caddies ensuring that resident personal items are labelled
- Assist or facilitate the screening of staff and visitors to the Home
- Assist in the monitoring of visitors and visits
- Assist in lifts and transfers, including the use of mechanical lifts
- Provides feeding assistance at meal times and during nutritional breaks by helping with set up, delivery and service to residents in the dining room, in their rooms or in activity areas
- Clean/disinfect equipment and surfaces as per infection control protocols
- Participate in admission orientation and the transfer process of the residents as directed.
- Porter residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, and dining room in the home as required;
**Skills/Education Required**:

- High school diploma grade 12 or equivalent
- Ability to learn and work in accordance with the MOHLTC legislation (training will be provided)
- Must be able to deal tactfully with sensitive situations and to exercise discretion, judgment, diplomacy, confidentiality and privacy of resident information;
- Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with physically and cognitively impaired individuals and their families;
- Must have excellent organizational and administrative skills and be able to work cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary team environment or independently;**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

**Salary**: $21.47-$23.47 per hour
