**Accounts Payable Clerk**
**Term (13 Months)**

Port Hawkesbury Paper is currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Clerical team**.** Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Clerk must be a team player who can work independently and safely in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Efficient processing of all Accounts Payable transactions
- Reconcile vendor statements, maintain vendor accounts and follow-up with invoice discrepancies
- Provide accruals regarding outstanding invoices and open services purchase orders at month end
- Maintain historical records

**Experience/Education Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience in an accounting role
- Prior experience in accounts payable considered an asset
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Outlook)

**Skills/Competency Requirements**:

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated problem solving and multi-tasking abilities
- Solid time management skills and ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis
