The Market Research Analyst provides research expertise, manages key research projects, and liaises with internal clients as a source for market intelligence that impacts planning and marketing decisions across several departments. The incumbent contributes to research and analytical initiatives through the collection and interpretation of market data from multiple sources and the visualization and reporting of meaningful insights. These insights will be used to evaluate potential opportunities and make recommendations to support institutional decision-making.

They contribute to market research and analytical initiatives across the department through the collection, analysis, interpretation, visualization and reporting of information and data. The incumbent provides support for Market Research Projects, Competitive Intelligence Metrics, and Market Trends, which requires creating project plans and collaborating with Institutional Research and other professionals to ensure project success.

The Market Research Analyst develops relationships and collaborates with internal clients to conduct market research studies and prepares/analyses reports to inform decisions related to marketing and strategic enrolment. The incumbent supports both third-party research projects and internal, cross-functional project teams in the design and execution of large, complex market research / analysis projects to support client decision making.

What You’ll be Doing

Conducting Research project coordination, including managing vendor deliverables and timelines.

Assessing client needs and providing progress updates regarding project deliverables.

Analyzing quantitative and qualitative data using tools such as Tableau, NVIVO, R, or SPSS.

Conducting data synthesis and visualizations, using data from various sources to create succinct, visual summary reports.

Supporting the delivery of in-house marketing research projects (e.g., secondary research, focus groups, ethnographies, surveys, etc.).

Performing other related duties as assigned.

About You

You have the skills and knowledge to work with an increasingly diverse student and staff population as well as a proven commitment to anti-oppression, equity, and inclusion.

You bring the ability to assemble, analyze and clearly present insights based on complex data, along with actionable recommendations.

Your excellent writing skills give you the ability to prepare concise, formal reports and presentations with a high level of clarity.

You have exceptional negotiation skills and influencing techniques with the ability to help find solutions to meet divergent and sometimes competing needs of various stakeholders.

You bring excellent communication and presentation skills which enable you to deliver clear and precise analysis to senior College leaders.

4-year bachelor’s degree in social Sciences, Business or other relevant field, including coursework in the following areas Market Research, Statistics, Evaluation.

5 years of experience leading and executing start-to-finish research projects and project teams (Equivalency will be considered).

Experience with programming and analysis tools (e.g. R, SAS, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), and SQL).

Data Visualization skills and mastery of various tools (e.g. Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint).

Knowledge and proficiency with quantitative research methods and design and quantitative data analysis.
