Mak-a-Mini's programs are based on the constructivist philosophy of learning and incorporate educational technology to meet the principles of Early Learning. The daycare and preschool programs are play-based, guided by child-led experiences, and take into account the age and developmental needs of each child. The programs focus on fostering emotional, physical, social, and cognitive development and use various methods to assess children's learning and development.

Mak-a-Mini is seeking a Childcare Supervisor to join our team at our brand new daycare center. This role has the primary responsibility for providing day-to-day support to Childcare Director, ensuring the effective operation of Mak-a-Mini programs while providing a safe, positive learning environment for all children. The Childcare Supervisor assists with the management of the Childcare Educators and Administrative Assistants within Mak-a-Mini and supports their continuous success.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following):

- Support the Childcare Director in the ongoing operation of the of Mak-a-Mini programs.
- Provide feedback for the development, ongoing review and update of the Mak-a-Mini curricula in the program plan.
- Liaise with the Mak-a-Mini team to ensuring appropriate resources are allocated according to the Mak-a-Mini programs and available to Educators in each room.
- Assist with the scheduling of staff within the HiMama daycare management system, ensuring the appropriate staffing ratios are maintained.
- Assist the Childcare Director with staff training and management including participating in staff performance reviews.
- Provide parent tours, manage the effective communication with parents/guardians and general communications.
- Other duties as assigned which are deemed necessary to support staff in their roles or support Mak-a-Mini in achieving its goals and objectives.

Education and Experience
- Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification (Child Development Supervisor) preferred
- Early Childhood Educator Level 2 Certification (Child Development Worker) required
- Early childhood education and development experience is a must
- Previous managerial experience in related or unrelated fields an asset
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Police check - Vulnerable Sector
