Administrative Full-time New Position

The incumbent participates in the planning, evaluation, implementation and operation of hardware and software security solutions. The incumbent monitors for threats, leverages solutions to identify threats, and protects the organization by responding to and containing cyber risks.

**Responsibilities**:
**Cyber Threat Monitoring and Detection**
- Analyse endpoint, firewall traffic and network security logs for threat awareness
- Identify threats and take proactive measures to minimize exposure and risk
- Escalate security incidents and system breaches to department leadership
- Contain security threats as quickly as possible, once discovered, while minimizing impacts to business operations

**Identity Management**
- Process account creation, modification, onboarding, offboarding, and account lifecycle management tasks
- Manage and track the onboarding and offboarding of identities and accounts for auditing and reporting purposes
- Provide support for account issues and incident triage
- Develop, test, and maintain automated workflows to enhance security and efficiency of access requests
- Create and maintain documentation and knowledge base content
- Provide guidance and support to client facing service teams

**Auditing and Investigation**
- Investigate attempts to circumvent security protocols
- Audit the activities of College staff & students to ensure policy compliance
- Investigate security and privacy breaches by reviewing logs, interpreting data
- Coordinate the collection of evidence during forensic investigations by working with internal resources, regulatory authorities and enforcement agencies

**Training & Professional Development**
- Coordinate cyber-threat awareness training to assess risk competencies of Conestoga employees
- Provide point of service assistance with Cyber Security related questions and queries
- Stay current on existing threats and risks that could impact the College
- Coordinate with InfoSec communities on emerging threats

Qualifications:

- Two-year Diploma in an Information Technology field of study
- Two years of related experience is required, preferably in an IT supporting field (System Administration, Service Delivery, Network Operations, etc.)
- System administration experience in an Active Directory and Windows Server environment is preferred
- Familiarity with Azure cloud and Office 365 is preferred
- An understanding of Automation, and Process Formalization
- Knowledge of PowerShell and other scripting/automation languages is an asset
- Familiar with modern Information Technology processes, procedures, and policies with an improvement mindset
- Strong productivity, organizational, and technology skills
