**Role Description**

Reporting to the Superintendent and Property Manager. The _Property Maintenance Worker_ will perform preventative and unscheduled reactive maintenance, as well as environmental, health and safety, and other special initiatives by performing the following duties, with a goal of providing exceptional customer and resident satisfaction through the delivery of great service to all residents at all times.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**General Maintenance**
- Perform scheduled, preventive, routine maintenance and unit inspections as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
- Complete minor repairs, cleaning and preventative maintenance
- Work a part of maintenance team providing quality customer service to 400 apartments.
- Complete small landscaping, painting, plastering, small renovation and other small projects.
- Executing general maintenance work including painting, plastering, basic plumbing (e.g. replacing faucets, unblocking toilets), and electrical tasks that do not require an electrician’s license, e.g. changing light bulbs.
- Provide excellent tenant service through clear communication and provision of notice of entry as required
- Performance of cleaning duties, including litter pick-up, sweeping, shoveling, pressure washing, or other as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Assist other classifications/trades as required
- Report to property manager and resident superintendent.

**Administration**
- Ensure maintenance and records, files, and documentation are maintained accurately and timely and in accordance with established procedures utilizing Property Vista software
- Comply with regular fire and life safety standards including monthly testing and annual drills;
**Health and Safety**
- Understand and adhere Health and Safety policy; ensure a thorough knowledge and understanding of emergency procedures including fire, flood, and mold remediation for all staff;
**Experience and Qualifications**
- Related experience preferred, with skills in general maintenance, painting, and/or landscaping.
- Awareness of occupational health and safety practices, emergency systems operation and Residential Tenancy Act
- Good ability to develop and sustain cooperating working relationships with staff, contractors, the public, and especially residents;
- Familiarity with smart phone and tablet technology
- Entry level skills in Microsoft Office and computer proficiency required.
- Ability to work well as a team and independently.

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
