2023 Summer Learning Program

We are hiring 1 Office Administrator for the W.O Mitchell program location: 80 Steeple Chase Dr, Kanata, ON.

**Program Duration**: Wednesday, July 5, 2023 to Thursday, July 27, 2023 (17 days)

**Start Date**: Staff Orientation (3 hours) will be required on July 4th.

**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday; 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

(School hours are from 8:30 to 2:30 pm daily)

**Rate of Pay**: $26.81 per hour + 4% *

Under the direction of the Site Administrator, the Summer School Office Administrator ensures the efficient operation of the school office; assists in providing a positive and safe learning environment for all students and staff; maintains student and staff information and records; provides support to teachers and students; assessing and directing inquiries; performing data entry and preparing correspondence; performs other duties as assigned. Working knowledge of Trillium is a must.

Familiarity with relevant legislation including the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act; The Immunization of School Pupils Act, and the Ministry of Ontario Student Record (OSR) Guidelines.

1 to 2 years of School Office experience, including proficiency in Aspen is required.

Experience working in a busy office environment;

Organizational and time-management skills required for juggling multiple priorities and tasks; excellent Interpersonal and communication skills to provide, exchange and clarify information, & respond to inquiries using tact, diplomacy and discretion.

First Aid certification and the ability to administer first aid is an asset.

The Summer School Office positions are union exempt, casual assignments.

Casuals are paid by direct deposit, 2 weeks in arrears.

Current School Office Administrators who accept the Summer School position will be paid at their own rate of pay.
