**JOB OVERVIEW**
Reporting to the Deli Coordinator, the Cook is responsible for food preparation at the **FMFN 468 PetroCanada Café**. The incumbent will prepare main entrees or meals and snacks. Physical strength and agility are required to reach and lift kitchen equipment and supplies.
- This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday 6:30 am to 2:30pm.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Daily preparation of meal items according to training, recipes and sanitary food handling practices
- Assists the deli manager to setup the cafeteria line with food; preps for the next day's work by slicing, dicing, chopping and removing frozen foods from the freezer
- Assists the deli manager as a caterer for the organization's special events and prepares foods as needed
- Assists the deli manager in preparing all items for the café, including special orders and catering to local businesses and the general public
- Cleans and maintains all equipment in the café area.
- Assists the deli manager in preparing various meat, cheese, vegetable and combination trays
- Assists the deli manager in serving customers in an efficient, courteous manner
- Perform other duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1-2 years’ experience working in a food services
- High School Diploma/GED
- A valid Food Handling Certificate required
- Current Standard First Aid with -Level C CPR
- Safety conscious with keen observational skills
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to work with mínimal supervision with established policies and procedures, including timelines for tasks

**Salary**: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
