Concrete Foreman

_**Rankin Construction Inc.**_is an innovative and diverse company that has a well deserved reputation for providing solid and dependable work. The company specializes in a wide range of heavy civil construction projects that include roads, bridges, sewer and water main, marine and renewable energy. We are looking for an experienced Concrete flatwork Foreman to work in Niagara._

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Supervise crews and projects, with a hands-on approach
- Maintain project timelines, scheduling, planning, and coordination of scheduled daily activities.
- Able to effectively communicate and interact with project owners, engineers, sub-trades, and management.
- Promote a safe working environment by conducting tailgate/safety meetings; identification of hazards; and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Able to adapt to changes and flexibility; ability to prioritize work schedule
- Able to read/interpret drawing, plans, blueprints, and contract documents; with a strong understanding of specifications, scope of work, and time lines.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications
- Generating daily field work sheets with costs and recording quantities

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Excellent communication, time-management, organizational, and strong leadership skills
- Extensive experience working with concrete from forming to finishing
- Proven experience as a Foreman/Supervisor in Heavy Civil Construction
- Ability to work unsupervised and lead work crews
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Must be detail-oriented

**License**:

- Standard First Aid
- Basics of Supervising and WHMIS (preferred)
- Valid G Drivers Licence; Clean 3-year drivers abstract
