**Responsibilities**
- Clean all dishes, pots and inserts.
- Keeps dish area clean and neat and tidy.
- Maintain kitchen/dining room cleaning to excellent standards.
- Know, understand, and practice Emergency Procedures and Policies.
- Responsible for ensuring that a safe and sanitary environment is provided
- for staff and residents; makes efforts to reduce safety hazards, accidents
- and injuries.
- Report of any deficiencies in the kitchen to your immediate supervisor

- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Food Safe Certificate - not required but an asset
- Previous experience in foodservice facilities considered an asset
- Demonstrates an awareness of accident and injury prevention; adheres to safe work practices and procedures; and is responsible for maintaining self-wellness and reduced absenteeism
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to set priorities, re-adjust routines and deal with repetitive activities
- Ability to organize duties with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrates solid observational skills and problem solving abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds

**Conditions of Employment**
- Clear Police Information Check w/vulnerable sector check (within the past 6 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination. This requirement will be waived if you did not receive the vaccination due to any legislated protected human rights grounds
