**MARC’S **Home _Belleville_ Inc. (MHBI) is looking for a self-motivated individual to complement our existing team of caregivers in a unique, family-oriented setting. You will be responsible for providing a continuum of care to **ONE** individual who has a sunny disposition and loves being involved in all aspects of the neighbourhood and community.

This is a **PART TIME** position offering:
**$22-24 per hour (depending on education and experience) INCLUSIVE OF the $3 per hour government subsidy**
- **_Currently 8 - 16 hours per week_ with an average of 12 hours per week over a 6 week period of schedules**:

- **Additional call-in hours available on occasion**:

- **_Effective May 2023 - 12 - 22 hours per week_ with an average of 18 hours per week over a 6 week period of schedules**:

- **flexibility to work around primary employment responsibilities and/or continuing education**

**schedules if applicable**
- **Two personal paid days per year upon successful completion of probationary period**

**THE ROLE**:
Once COVID-19 restrictions are fully lifted, you will spend lots of time in the community including swimming, assisting with horseback riding, visits to farms, shopping centres, and other fun activities. Working within a team environment, you will ensure all needs are met and a high quality of life is maintained. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Providing full support in all personal care routines, daily activities, social and intrapersonal skills and emotional regulation;
- Implementation of behaviour support plans and behavioural principles including positive reinforcement and extinction;
- Completion of daily housekeeping tasks including cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping and laundry;
- Administration of medication within prescribed procedures and maintenance of confidential reports and records.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Experience in either a health care, educational or private setting, supporting individuals who are non-verbal with limited functional communication skills and training in Person Centred Planning and Outcomes;
- Completion of a Human Services Diploma (or equivalent) from a recognized Community College or University and a minimum of one year’s experience working with individuals with an intellectual disability and behavioural challenges is essential;
- Current First Aid/CPR and NVCI certification in Crisis Intervention and Prevention (CPI) preferred
- **Valid current Ontario driver’s license**, proof of acceptable auto insurance, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle (not public transit) in which to transport the individual to a variety of external activities is essential;
- Physically able to facilitate activities of daily living/social activities and ensure individual’s safety;
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Person’s screening;
