**Location**

Copper Mountain Mine is located near the town of Princeton, British Columbia at the center of the scenic
Similkameen Valley. Princeton is a community-oriented town with a diverse offering of activities,
especially for those who love the outdoors. Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of
Vancouver and the Okanagan.

**Summary**

The Mine Geology team at Copper Mountain creates value through orebody knowledge and we believe
that high quality geoscience is foundational to everything we do. The Mine Geology team also works
closely with the Exploration and Geoscience team to create value through brownfield exploration
discovery and resource expansion.

To support the continued growth of our business, we are seeking a Production Geologist to join our Mine
Geology team. Reporting to the Senior Geologist, the Production Geologist will carry out a range of day
- to-day mine geology tasks to support mine production and development. This is a permanent full-time
role on a 7x7 rotation, with 12-hour day shifts. This schedule could change to meet operational
requirements.

The Copper Mountain deposit is Late Triassic/Early Jurassic, alkalic porphyry copper-gold deposit
located near the southern end of the Quesnel Terrane. The bulk of the known copper-gold mineralization
occurs in a northwesterly trending belt of Nicola Group rocks, approximately 5 km long and 2 km wide
and is genetically related to the intrusion of the Lost Horse Intrusive Complex. Significant exploration
potential remains at the Copper Mountain Mine with mineralization open both laterally and at depth. The

Production Geologist will learn about porphyry geology and develop an understanding of the ore-forming
processes that created the Copper Mountain deposit.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform field mapping of lithological and alteration/mineralization boundaries and faults
- Compile and validate geological and assay data from blast holes and perform QA/QC checks,

including logging of blast hole cuttings
- Carry out sampling of active faces as required and ensure that ore control staking is carried out to

high standard of accuracy
- Support diamond and RC drilling activities, monitor drilling progress, collect and interpret drill hole

data, including the logging of RC cuttings as required.
- Compile geological mapping and assay data in Geovia Surpac 3-D software and incorporate these

data into geological and ore-control block models
- Assist with ore feed and blending strategies to the primary crusher in order to provide consistent head

grade to the mill
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as required
- Perform weekly and monthly reconciliation to assess resource model performance and to support

optimal mine planning and scheduling
- Monitor blast movement to improve blast design
- Ensure that metal leaching/acid rock drainage (ML/ARD) management protocols are followed and

that litho-geochemical domains are properly identified
- Other related duties as required

**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience working as a geologist in a mining environment
- Experience in porphyry copper-gold deposit geology and the logging of diamond drill core and/or RC

chips would be considered an asset
