**Location**: In-office 1101 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa ON plus remote work available
**ROLE SUMMARY**:
This role is perfect for a new Human Resources graduate or someone looking to start their career in Human Resources. We are looking for an efficient Human Resources (People & Culture) Coordinator to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. You will facilitate daily HR functions like keeping track of employees onboarding packages, maintaining HRIS records and supporting the integration process of newly onboarded clinics. Your role, also, involves performing tasks with a focus to grow our company’s talent pipeline and improve our sourcing tactics with campuses.
**Responsibilities**:
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
- Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person on the team
- Maintain records of employee-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates) in digital formats
- Support HR generalists with benefits administration for new joiners and departures
- Support HR generalists with other departments or functions (payroll, finance, compliance, marketing)
- Support the recruitment/hiring process (background and reference checks) and issuing employment agreements
- Support the integration process (new hire packages and paperwork)
- Assist VP of People & Culture in performance management administration
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, and maintain the team’s agenda
- Coordinate Leave of Absence tracker weekly
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars
- Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
- Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like the collection of employee engagement feedback
Requirements and skills
- Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
- College program or University program in Human Resource Management preferred
- Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint, in particular)
- Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, Ceridian Dayforce or ADP Workforce) preferred
- Ability to work with ATS software
- Understanding of sourcing tools, like LinkedIn Recruiter, or Indeed Resumes;
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- Good organizational and time management skills
- CHRP, CHRL, or CRIA certification is an asset
- English fluency is essential & French an asset
