Parts Counter Attendant

Compensation: Hourly

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

**As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two-week period of their hiring date.**

**Duties**:

- Ordering parts for heavy duty trucks, trailers, and yard equipment.
- Ordering shop supplies and building supplies.
- Professionally dealing with internal customer requests and outside vendors.
- Use of several manufacturer’s parts catalogues.
- Shipping and receiving duties.
- Inventory control via billing parts on work order software, and annual inventory counts.
- Creating and receiving purchase orders on dedicated payables software.
- Operation of the parts vehicle to pick up orders from vendors and perform internal deliveries.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and policies according to company Safety Manual and OH&S Regulations.
- General shop and yard duties.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Parts department experience or mechanical aptitude considered an asset.
- Class 5 Driver’s License required.
- Must have a clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Positive attitude and desire to grow with a company.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy an asset for future development.
- A criminal record check will be required.
