**Hospitality Manager**

**Full time**

**Wages: Commensurate with Education & Experience**

Reporting to the Site Leader, the Hospitality Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for hospitality services inclusive of Dining services; Laundry and Environmental services at Hardisty Care Centre.

The Hospitality Manager works with the team to ensure services are aligned with the organizational mission, vision and values, goals and objectives. The Hospitality Manager assumes a leadership role empowering teams to build and maintain a safety culture that pursues leading practices, quality improvement and learning and development initiatives throughout our home.

**Educational and other Qualifications**
- Post-Secondary education in hospitality management and/or Red Seal Chef
- An undergraduate degree related to the portfolio or related field preferred
- Current membership with Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
- Provincial Food Safe Certification or equivalent
- Three (3) years hospitality management experience in Long Term care facility (or equivalent organization)
- User of menu planning software
- Experience managing a budget

- Accreditation process

- Environmental Public Health Regulations
- Infection, Prevention & Control Guidelines
- Employee Health & Safety
- Long term care industry applicable legislative requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to deal effectively with conflict in a diplomatic and professional manner
- Good written and oral communication
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite, and internet technology
- Must demonstrate an ability for menu planning, preparation and presentation
- Proven experience in large quantity food preparation, financial planning and food purchasing
- Able to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility in a constant high energy environment while responding to complex priorities
- Exhibits open and sincere approach to relating to people by demonstrating respect and compassion for everyone equally
- Demonstrates critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to resolve issues independently and/or make recommendations that are supported by evidence consistent with legislation/policies and that meets the standards of care
- Excellent active listening skills
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to occasionally work after regular hours to attend functions, meetings and to address urgent issues impacting the care home or program
- Ability to be on-call outside of regular business hours as required, willingness to participate in committees and projects

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
