Job Profile/Duties/Responsibilities
- Set up job site and scaffolding and prepare required tools and materials
- Assist with the preparation of concrete and mortar
- Help the mason to lay stones, bricks, blocks, and several other materials to form structures
- Ensure that surfaces are prepared before beginning work
- Mold expansion joints and edges with the use of the necessary tools such as edging tools, jointers, straightedge, and so on
- Mix mortar, grout or cement and move it to the work area
- Cut bricks that are needed for corners, arches, and complex patterns
- Ensure that the required tools needed for a job or project are ready and well-kept after the job
- Clean up job site and break down scaffolding upon job completion
- Operate company vehicles safely
- Take required safety & trade training courses (at the company’s expense)
- Occasionally perform emergency work, including board ups
- Any and all other tasks & operations which may be assigned
- Adhere to Kaboom Masonry’s Health and Safety Policies
- Ability to lift 80 lbs

Other Requirements
- Legally eligible to work and bondable in Canada
- Own transportation to shop in Burlington
- Valid G2 or G Driver's license required, with a good driver’s abstract
- Ability to work in a team focused environment, as well as delivering quality and productivity when working independently
- Great work ethic and reliable attendance
- Pride of workmanship, attention to detail
- Work hard, be safe and have a positive attitude

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Bricklayer/Masonry Tender: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- G2 or G class drivers licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
