**About us**

The Hygate on Lexington is a new, full-scale retirement residence in Waterloo, ON. This beautiful 216-suite building will bring a modern twist to retirement living. If you're a dedicated, hard-working individual who wants to cater to the "modern senior" then Team Hygate is right for you

**We are looking for a full-time UCP for our evening and night shift, who is interested in being a part of “Team Hygate” and supporting our Residents**

As a UCP at Hygate, your responsibilities would include:

- Providing attendant care services to our Assisted Living Residents, as per their personalized care plan.
- Assist all ASL Residents with various daily activities, such as meals and activation programming, as well as medication administration.
- Provide emergency response support to the entire building
- Supervise PSWs on shift as well as third-party care services to ensure consistent quality of service.
- Act as Nurse on Duty when required, including fire alarm response
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate to the Director of Care
- Other tasks as required to maintain the Health and Safety of the Residents

We are currently looking to fill a full time position.
- A current UCP designation/Medication Administration cert, in good standing
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as e-Mar and other care-based software programs
- Good physical health, with the ability to do a highly physical job
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Amazing interpersonal skills, including handling difficult situations
- Fantastic communication skills, including written and verbal
- Prior experience in a similar working environment is a plus
- A desire to work as part of a team

Part-time hours: 24+ per week

Job Types**:Full Time, Evenings (1500-2300) or Nights (2300-0700)**

**Salary**: $18.50 per hour

The Hygate follows all current Ministry of Health and RHRA protocols related to COVID-19, and IPAC in general.
