**Electrification Energy Manager** to join the regional Energy and Environmental Sustainability (EES) Facilities Management team. This role is based out of
**Queen’s Park Care Centre** in
**New Westminster, BC.**

In this key role, you will be responsible for providing leadership for planning, designing and efficient operation of energy supply and demand systems at assigned locations throughout Fraser Health and other lower mainland health organizations. This includes effective collaboration with all Facilities Management teams, Senior Leadership and external partners; ensuring that the Organizations are aligned with provincial and local government climate change planning and legislation.

- Provides strategic leadership for planning, designing and efficient operation of energy supply and demand systems and, working collaboratively with the Organization’s Energy Managers and Climate Risk and Resilience manager.
- Provides technical expertise on site based electrification and low carbon resilience plans in accordance with climate change mitigation and adaptation legislation.
- Manages project budgets to ensure effective implementation of low carbon resilience planning.
- In collaboration with planning and project teams, provides assessments of electrification strategies during the planning, business case and procurement phase of major projects.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key business leaders internally and externally such as Chief Project Officers, senior Facilities leads, site leaders, BC Hydro, BC Ministries, including Ministry of Health, Environment and Climate Change Strategy to support them in understanding electrification and low carbon resilience.
- Provides technical guidance and expertise to the Energy and Environmental Sustainability (EES) Climate Risk program to support development of resilience and adaptation plans for Organizations portfolio.
- Ensures alignment with the duties and goals, as listed in the BC Hydro Electrification Energy Manager agreement.
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Building Technology or related field with a professional designation and additional training in energy / carbon reduction design and strategic management.
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years’ recent related experience in a large complex multi-site environment.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable

Valid B.C. Driver's license and access to personal vehicle for business related purposes.

Reporting to the Director, Energy & Environmental Sustainability, the Electrification Energy Manager provides strategic leadership for planning, designing and efficient operation of energy supply and demand systems at assigned locations in Fraser Health, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Provincial Health Services Authority and Providence Health Care (collectively, the “Organizations”). This includes effective collaboration with all Facilities Management teams, Senior Leadership and external partners; ensuring that the Organizations are aligned with provincial and local government climate change planning and legislation.
