Welding, Fabrication, and Fall Protection Design

**Responsibilities**:
**Operations Management**:

- Lead, coordinate, and oversee welding, fabrication, and fall protection design activities in the company.
- Develop and implement production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet production and design targets.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Establish and enforce quality standards for welding, fabrication, and fall protection design processes.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain product and design integrity.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to address and resolve any quality-related issues.

**Resource Allocation and Efficiency**:

- Manage workforce allocation and skill development to optimize productivity.
- Schedule and manage full time and part time workers.
- Monitor equipment and machinery for efficient operation and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

**Fall Protection Design**:

- Lead the design and engineering of fall protection systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Design fall protection solutions that meet and exceed client requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to integrate fall protection measures seamlessly into projects.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop effective fall protection solutions.

**Health and Safety**:

- Prioritize and enforce a strong safety culture in the welding, fabrication, and design environments.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement appropriate safety protocols.
- Conduct safety training and actively address any safety concerns.

**Team Leadership and Development**:

- Lead, motivate, and manage welding, fabrication, and design teams, including recruitment and performance management.
- Provide mentorship and training to enhance team members' skills and capabilities.

Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Assist with hiring and onboarding new recruits to your team.

**Communication and Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide project updates and address any concerns.

**Budget Management**:

- Develop and manage budgets for welding, fabrication, and fall protection design projects, monitoring expenditures and controlling costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Welding, Fabrication, and Fall Protection Design Manager in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, fabrication techniques, fall protection design, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- In-depth understanding of safety regulations and practices related to welding, fabrication, and fall protection.
- Leadership abilities with a track record of building and leading successful teams.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with manufacturing software and design tools.
- Welding certifications (e.g., CWB) and fall protection design certifications are advantageous.
