**Job Overview**

As a Transload Operator, you will ensure the safe and efficient transfer of various products in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Success in this role requires strong teamwork, initiative, and organizational skills to maximize safety and operational efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload customer products.
- Safeguard train, track, and equipment during operations.
- Conduct equipment and plant inspections, including daily checks on safety devices.
- Prepare railcars for loading/unloading, adhering to transportation guidelines for hazardous materials.
- Coordinate with switching crews and operations for the safe transfer of customer products.

**Employees are also expected to**:

- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Report safety, equipment, and track issues promptly to the Team Lead or Manager.
- Complete daily logs and other required reports accurately.
- Prioritize human safety and the protection of company property.
- Deliver excellent customer service while upholding a positive company image.
- Participate in training and company initiatives as needed.

**Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities**
- Strong teamwork and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and understand general documentation, such as safety briefings, policy manuals, and switching lists.
- Physical fitness, including the ability to climb on/off railcars, lift and twist air hoses, and operate rail car brakes, derails, and switches.
- Comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to obtain CROR certification and maintain compliance with drug and alcohol policies.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

**Education & Experience**
- Experience in railcar loading is an asset.
- Background in heavy construction, industrial, or rail environments.
- Familiarity with safety management systems.
- Experience with boiler operations is preferred.

Expected hours: 40 per week
