This position will be with the Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Provincial Services Branch and the Provincial Deaf and Hard of Hearing Branch. This position will provide clinical services for children, youth, and families through a virtual platform, assisting CYMH service delivery in various communities throughout the province. The e-CYMH Clinician’s primary responsibility will be providing services to children, youth and families virtually. They will work in flexible ways and build partnerships with local CYMH teams and local communities to support multiple children and families accessing virtual services. The CYMH Clinician will also work through consultation with local CYMH teams to build and maintain relationships to support coordinated services and positive outcomes for children, youth, and families in their communities.

The e-CYMH Clinician integral member of a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team and in coordination with other community agencies and professionals, you provide a range of mental health services to children, youth and their families, when the child or youth is suffering from serious emotional, psychological, behavioral or psychiatric illness.

As an e-Clinician, you provide direct clinical services virtually or in-person such as intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention for children, youth and their families. Consulting with community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs, you understand the importance of being involved in community education, development, coordination and prevention/early intervention programs. You build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders in the community to ensure that conflicts are resolved and appropriate outcomes are achieved.

**Job Requirements**:

- **NOTE**: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services. Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).**Preference may be given to applicants with the following**:

- Three or more years experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
- One or more years (gained in the last three years) delivering virtual services for children and youth and their parents in a mental health setting.
- One or more years experience (gained in the last three years) working with parents around issues related to parenting children and youth with complex mental health presentations.
- Experience utilizing Dialectical/Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (DBT/CBT) and Emotion Focused-Family Therapy (EFFT), gained in the last three years.
- Training and experience in working with high-risk populations.
- Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of ASL and deaf culture an asset.
