The Children’s Cottage Society is a charitable agency established in Calgary in 1986. The Society’s mission is “Building strong children and safe nurturing families through prevention programs and support services” and our vision is “Resilient children blossom in healthy families.”
Reporting to the Crisis Nursery Manager, the Relief Cook is responsible for overseeing the kitchen, doing housekeeping duties, and cooking lunch and supper for children, volunteers and child care workers.
Qualifications:
1. Education in Safe Food Handling
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience cooking in a home-like environment

**Responsibilities**:
1. Prepares menus as designated by the Full Time Cook.
2. Carries out the designated cleaning routine.
3. Appropriately documents work completed.
4. Ensures kitchen area is left clean after meals.
5. Assists with other position-related tasks as directed by the Manager.
6. Supervises and assists volunteers to work in the kitchen.
7. Ensures kitchen and storage area of the house follows the directions of public health.
