A new recovery centre in **Red Deer, Alberta** is looking to fill a **Recovery Coach** position. This centre will provide long term treatment to those struggling with substance abuse disorders and concurrent mental health conditions.

**Job description**:

- Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients in Phase 2 and 3 components of program in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Assist clients in developing strong aftercare plans and support networks.
- Provide counselling, education, and support to clients in the residential treatment program, as well as the continuing care program.
- Lead evening recovery groups, or other outpatient evening groups
- Orients clients and treatment aftercare program
- Case management of client caseload in Phase 2 and Phase 3
- Facilitates educational sessions in Phase 2 program with supervisors’ approval.
- Co facilitates therapeutic intervention when appropriate and possible.
- Participates in their development, implementation, and follow-up of the client care plan.
- Supervises student interns and volunteers.
- Liaise with referral sources, aftercare providers, EAP representative, payroll and probation officers, verbally, electronically, and/or in writing
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Three or more years’ experience in the Addiction field
- B.A. and/or counselling diploma or equivalent. ICADC certificate in asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written communications.
- Positive team player
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Strong computer skills
