**Our Team**

The Combustion Technician is integral for employee safety and Vale's long-term operating strategy. Members of this team work across different locations to ensure safe delivery of fuel in plant lines. Team members are also involved in the development of long-term and short-term maintenance initiatives, practices and procedures.

Our Sudbury Operations have been in existence for more than 100 years. With five mines, a mill, a smelter, a refinery and nearly 4,000 employees it is also one of the largest integrated mining complexes in the world.

**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a **Combustion Technician** to join our **Maintenance Department** in **Sudbury**, **Ontario**. This is a permanent position.

As a Combustion Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Vale owned facilities. Your experience and skills will contribute to scheduled or emergency repairs, installation, inspection, and preventative maintenance work. Additionally, in this position, you will:

- Operate and maintain plant equipment and auxiliaries safely and efficiently.
- Follow Established Company Healthy, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures.
- Respond to emergency situations as required.
- Report deviations to established procedures.
- Document work performed.
- Align with work safety policies and safety regulations.

**About You**

**Education**:

- Grade 12 Secondary School Graduation Diploma and TSSA certified G1 license to work in Ontario.

**Experience**:

- 4 or more years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical background would be an asset.

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of Ontario Technical Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and all other applicable legislation required.
- A valid class G Driver's License required.
- Experience with industrial hot metal process equipment.
