Look no further than Zurich Canada.- If you have experience as a Corporate Actuary and are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.- Zurich Canada is currently looking for an AVP Reserving Actuary within its Finance Actuarial team.- Reporting to the Chief Actuary, you will manage a team of actuaries to lead reserving studies, perform monthly close, establish partnerships with business leadership on reserving matters, including insights into risks, underlying performance, and implications for the business.- This is a unique opportunity to build your knowledge and experience for the future in a supportive environment where your voice matters.- This is a hybrid work opportunity.**What you will do -**
- Review, lead, and coordinate reserving analyses, portfolio profitability management, and communicate results to market-facing business leaders in

complex environments and lines of business.- Manage a team of 3-4 reserving actuaries
- Interface with regulators, auditors and Peer Reviewers
- Support the Quarterly Reserve Committee
- Lead the production of the Appointed Actuary’s Report
- Perform the monthly close process and communicate results to Finance and Underwriting teams
- Conduct financial condition analysis, support ORSA, and participate in Internal Target Setting
- Provide consultation and technical expertise on actuarial models and risk issues.

**Job Qualifications**

**What you bring to the table**:
**Required**:

- Bachelor's Degree- OR- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree.

AND- 8 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area plus FCAS or equivalent international certification.
- OR- 13 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area plus ACAS or equivalent international certification.
- **Preferred**:

- Experience in multiple functional areas (pricing, reserving, capital management) and knowledge/skills reflective of a senior practitioner.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
