**Responsibilities**:
- Participates in the preparation of food items according to event orders of consistent quality following production, portion, and presentation standards
- Ensures all cooks are using proper cooking techniques, seasoning methods and using proper tools for the job
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
- Communicate with others using clear and professional language
- Ensures the team is on track to meet any deadlines with events, preparations, and time management
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
- Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menus
- Manages kitchen cleanliness, requisitions, prep priorities and par levels of product
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
**What we Look For**:
- Minimum of 2-3 years well rounded experience in EACH area of the culinary field
- Advanced culinary knowledge is expected for this position
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred
- A passion for food, desire to further develop culinary and leadership skills
- Experience in dealing with several food and beverage events at one time
- 3-4 years tenure at DCP/1st Cook level an asset
- Demonstrates initiative, and work with mínimal supervision
- Proficient knife skills and ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
