**We are seeking a Casual Imaging Assistant at Nicola Valley Health Center in Merritt, BC.**

Days of work: Rotating, Days
Shift times: 08:00 to 14:00, 08:00 to 16:00

**What will you work on?**

This position performs a variety of clerical duties such as:

- Transporting assigned patients to and from the department using mechanical aids such as wheelchairs and/or stretchers; assisting patients to undress/dress as required.
- Prepares procedure rooms and other related areas by performing duties.
- Performs clerical functions such as answering telephone; making appointments.
- In accordance with established procedures performs daily Meditech exam audits (ordered, taken, signed); investigates problems; makes corrections; and notifies appropriate staff as required.
- Maintains supplies/inventory on designated unit.
- Delivers/picks up items such as equipment, supplies, and specimens, to and from various areas of the hospital as directed.
- Submits routine maintenance requests for department equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers etc. in accordance with established procedures.
- Participates in continuous quality improvement activities by performing duties such as providing input/feedback to Manager (or designate) on work procedures and opportunities for process improvement.
- Assists with orienting new staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
