**Skills Required**:

- Ability to perform day to day database administration tasks with deep understanding of SQL Server internals e.g. Indexing, partitioning, filestream, Always-On, replication cctv and Mirroring technologies.
- Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Knowledge of relational databases, T-SQL, query execution plans, solving concurrency issues and deadlocks
- Knowledge of administrating azure SQL databases is an added advantage.
- Good communication skill and experience to handle P1/P2 outages.
- MSSQL DBA Certification will be added advantage
- Good in Powershell.

**Role & Responsibility**:

- HIGH Priority PROD Ticket Support / Database Outage Handling
- Weekend Support
- Change Management
- Bug Fixes with Microsoft
- Consultation to Users / other support team / L2 Team
- Handling Projects ( like DB migration, Host level upgrades / migrations)
- Script changes
- Other Technology Support ( like Delphix / HVR / RTDS )
- L2 Runbook review
- Medium / Low PROD/Non-PROD Escalation Handling from L1/L2 team
- Escalation Reduction / Problem Management
- Provides Training to L2/L1 team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON
