Assistant Gm

Responsibilities: Provide dynamic hands-on leadership and strategic planning to all Department Heads and Food and Beverage employees resulting in a strong service culture, a high level of guest satisfaction, employee retention and owner satisfaction.

**Hours**: This is a hands-on position requiring flexible availability including weekends, late evenings, and early mornings to coincide with business flow. This is NOT a weekday, office hours position.
Requirements/Specialized Skills: Diploma/Degree and/or equivalent education in Hospitality. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Director of Operations or 8+ years in a Senior Management position in Hotel Operations and strong Food and Beverage Director Experience. Previous work experience with private, family owned companies is an asset. A passion for providing exceptional experiences for guests. A strong revenue management background. Four Star or equivalent experience in a multi-faceted convention resort hotel with strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to lead by example. Highly energetic, self motivated, decisive, responsible, and capable of working under stressful conditions while consistently demonstrating a high degree of professionalism. Strong technical skills. Excellent time management skills. Strong customer service orientation and skills. Exceptional detail and follow-up. Excellent budgetary, projections and cost control skills. Ability to produce consistent profits. Ability to set priorities, plan, organize, delegate responsibility and evaluate results. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong computer knowledge including PMS, POS & Catering Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent knowledge of product trends and current awareness of industry standards. Strong overall passion for people, food, wine and beverages.
