**YOUR ROLE**

We are looking for an Intermediate QA who is a highly motivated, resourceful, creative, and an enthusiastic individual to join our growing team in Montreal. Reporting to the QA Manager, the Intermediate QA will play a critical and influential role in the development, test execution, and deployment of our innovative products across a wide range of devices and platforms. Working as part of an Agile team, you will participate and fulfill a variety of responsibilities conjointly with other team members. You will be involved right from the very beginning of the projects, working closely with business analysts and developers, while interacting with the Product Owner. You will test our software from the end-user’s point of view to ensure we deliver excellent software anchored in an agile culture of quality, delivery, and innovation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build test cases within sprints for planning, identifying what test cases to execute within each sprint
- Perform Black Box and White Box testing
- Troubleshoot bugs and provide suggestions on resolutions
- Input detailed documentation of bugs in our bug tracking tool and share findings with the development team as necessary
- Take the lead to plan, organize and involve the whole team in the testing work
- Work closely with the Product Owner to help them develop detailed acceptance criteria for their user stories, provide feedback from testing experience as well as collecting feedback
- Automate regression test cases
- Analyze stories and User Requirements and participate in estimating stories
- Participate in Release Readiness/Demos
- Monitor the work being performed by the team to ensure that each completed user story meets the benchmark DoD
- Design and perform functional and regression tests based on the User Stories & acceptance criteria
- Plan Testing with testing Strategies by preparing high-level documentation for test strategies and plans to guide the team
- Define / refine the acceptance criteria for each user story as required
- Test the completed functionality each sprint from the end user's perspective and ensuring all previously completed functionality has not regressed
- Work and collaborate with team members across projects, and take ownership of test to connect with other teams
- Perform end to end testing across projects and streams

**DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?**
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3- 5 years’ experience in development testing, working through the full lifecycle for Web
- Excellent Knowledge of Scrum/Kanban Agile software development practices
- In-depth understanding and differentiation of the various types of testing (unit, smoke, functional, integration, system, user acceptance, regression, performance, and usability testing)
- Experience in Test Case Management and Bug Tracking tools (Zephyr Squad, Jira)
- Highly analytical and detail oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring new ideas and technologies into the business
- Team player with solid interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively under deadlines
- Ability to multi-task across multiple projects
- Experience in BDD language and related frameworks (Cucumber, JBehave, Fitnesse, etc.), an asset
- Experience with continuous integration environment using Git, Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Jenkins, an asset
- Experience with ROBOT framework, an asset
