Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare snacks for students, ensuring they are nutritious and in accordance with any dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment through regular sanitation procedures.
- Collaborate with lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning and creativity.
- Engage actively with students during playtime, offering support and guidance to foster their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate a diverse range of children's abilities, providing individualized attention as needed.
- Assist students with bathroom needs which may include changing diapers.
- Work closely with the teaching team to ensure a cohesive and harmonious classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma; Associate's degree or relevant early childhood education coursework is preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- First aid and CPR certification and Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check required.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Doctors note saying you are in good health to work
- Copy of up to date immunizations
