We are currently looking to hire a highly motivated, part-time pastry cook with a strong work ethic to match.

You will be responsible for baking our signature pita breads and pastry items on a daily basis for in store purchase, catering orders and other restaurants within Mamakas Food Group.

**Summary of responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, responsibilities and essential job requirements include but are not limited to:

- Follow recipes accurately and bake items to perfection
- Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils and equipment
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Previous cooking and/or baking experience required (1 year+)
- Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and individually as required
- Ability to accurately follow recipes with no supervision

**Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)**:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Complete repetitive tasks, such as rolling dough
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing and pulling
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
