Class a

We are currently seeking a **Class A (condition R) licensed Driver** to join the team in our Pembroke shop. The driver will be responsible for hauling deliveries of steel to a variety of customers all over Ontario and/or our Richmond Hill shop.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Operating and driving Class A (condition R) licence required trucks to transport goods and materials
- Hauling reinforcing steel on a flat-bed trailer
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, and brakes
- Minor truck maintenance i.e adding oiling, fueling.
- Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
- Responsible for completing a pre and post inspection of the vehicle each day before operating.
- Responsible for documenting all inspections to ensure equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
- Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and working in a variety of environments, both internal and external in all types of weather conditions.
- Follow all plant and company safety guidelines in the performance of all job duties and responsibilities.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class A (condition R) licence
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience with an A license
- Experience hauling steel would be an asset
- Clean Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate
- Sound knowledge of safe driving practices
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset
- Previous experience in machine operation is an asset
