Spartan Snow is currently looking to add a Snow Supervisor to grow with us as a team member. This position requires on-call availability 24/7.

**DUTIES**

Respond promptly to calls for snow and ice events with 1 (one) hour notice

24/7 on call availability during the winter season (including weekends and holidays)

Prepare and show up for shifts free from the influence of any drugs, alcohol, or medicines that have an effect on safe and productive equipment operation

Comply with all company policies and procedures

Complete logs of work completed as required

Track and record all job expenses and hours worked accurately

Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations

Ensure that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

Review and complete safety paperwork as required

Conduct pre-shift inspections and maintenance on all vehicles and equipment

Shop tool and equipment maintenance activities as assigned

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring current landscape and property is not damaged in the efforts of removing snow or ice

Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner

Support and supervises assigned team leads and crew members to achieve high-quality snow removal operations

Work with Dispatch to ensure efficient scheduling of crews, routes, and equipment, and makes ad hoc adjustments

Outline customer expectations to crews to ensure satisfaction with work

Ensure that trucks, equipment, and tools are treated with care, and that proper maintenance is completed

Ensure that crews arrive on time and are clocked in and out properly

Review crew members’ timesheets and forwards to Payroll if approved

Attend meetings and conducts site walks with clients

Build and nurtures customer relations and addresses customers’ needs

Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and codes, including health and safety

Attend safety meetings and completes health and safety training

Conduct and documents debriefings after inclement weather, end-of-seasons, and implements improvements

Operate vehicles and salting or brining equipment in a safe, responsible and efficient manner following all recommended operating procedures

Ensure snow is piled in designated and approved locations only

Document and report any obstacles at site(s)

Maintain a valid driver’s license and be eligible to be insured under Spartan Snow’s automobile insurance policy

Ensure GPS units and/or dash cams in vehicle, if applicable, are maintained and plugged in at all times

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Valid driver’s license with clean driver's abstract and reliable transportation

At least 2 years' experience operating a salt truck

At least 2 years' experience managing a crew

Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Ability to lead, motivate and delegate effectively

**COMPENSATION**

Standby Pay + $45.00-$50.00/hour

**Job Type**: Seasonal
