The PharmaShoppe is an independent pharmacy that has been operating out of The Centre Family Medicine (CFFM) Joseph Street site in Downtown Kitchener since 2005.

Our patient population is a blend of patients of local family physicians and Government Assisted Refugees (GARs).

Since 2008, we have worked alongside the CFFM Refugee Health Clinic to care for the GARs of the Kitchener-Waterloo Region. Over time, we have built this into a longstanding partnership by establishing a reputation for providing compassionate care to all of our patients.
- Job Responsibilities:_

**Note: due to space limitations, we are unable to provide Influenza/COVID-19 vaccinations or COVID-19 testing**

Assisting the pharmacist in providing patient care:

- Checking prescriptions and blister packs
- Counselling patients
- Making over-the-counter recommendations
- Collaborating with physicians and other health care providers (ie: Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Dietitians, etc.)
- Identifying and resolving Drug Therapy Problems (DTPs)
- Performing MedsChecks and minor ailment consultations (time permitting)
- Helping assistants with dispensary workflow as needed (ie: answering the phone, entering prescriptions, counting and ringing in customers)
- Required Skills:_

Fluency in Arabic is an asset, **but not required**

Part-time hours: 8-16 per week

**Salary**: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
