Millennial Contracting is a Cornwall based general contractor and custom home renovator proudly serving Cornwall and SDG. We specialize in high end residential renovations as well as custom decks, garages, and other exterior structures. We offer interior design services as well as project management, permit and layout drawings, as well as home staging and other real estate services. We work closely with local subcontractors and suppliers to deliver a quality end product to all of our clients.

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform carpentry related tasks such as framing, decking, installing drywall, doors and windows, trim and millwork, flooring, and painting.
- Read and interpret permit and layout drawings in order to complete projects according to specifications
- Report directly to the lead carpenter
- Work closely with other carpenters and site leads as a team
- Meet deadlines and schedules while performing work according to building codes as well as quality and safety standards
- Safely operate hand and power tools in order to perform tasks listed above

**Skills & Credentials**
- High school education minimum, college education is preferred but not required
- Minimum 5 years experience as a carpenter preferably in residential construction
- Extensive knowledge of power tools and construction materials
- Must have own vehicle or mode of transportation within a 60km radius of Cornwall
- Must have own tool belt with standard hand tools (hammer, speed square, measuring tape, pencil, etc.)
- Capable of climbing ladders and carrying at least 60 pounds
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as alone at times
- MOST IMPORTANT: Passion for construction and carpentry and a willingness to learn and grow as an individual as well as within the company

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 5 years (required)
- residential construction: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
- Driving Licence (required)
