**What you will work on**

As a **Tour Guide** at Harbour Cruises, you’ll get to:

- Inform and educate, and delight our guests about what Vancouver has to offer as a destination
- Provide exceptional hospitality to our guests by being empathetic, and create genuine connections
- Be the expert and Go-To for knowledge encompassing our guided tours
- Be well-versed with historical, tourist attractions, local gems, and other offerings in Vancouver BC
- Deliver engaging, authentic and inform our guests in a clear, concise delivery (Verbal)
- Confidently own and be an ambassador of our City and company
- Upsell any products (Food and Beverage, Retail, Tours, etc) professionally
- Communicate all departments to ensure smooth and seamless experience for our guests
- Proactively prepare for the day to day operations (Vessels, daily updates, tour information etc)
- Ensure the upkeep, maintenance, and ensure that our vessels and areas are always presentable and in tip-top shape
- Assist with set-up, break down, and other operational tasks
- Willingness and flexibility to work in a team environment with various duties at hand
- Additional duties as assigned

**What you will bring to the team**
- A natural story-teller, the ability to share facts and information learned in an engaging way
- Ability to communicate in a clear and coherent delivery style (Verbal)
- Energetic, passionate, enthusiastic
- Capacity to keep calm and maintain a pleasant demeanor in a busy, fast-paced work environment
- Ability to stay on your feet for lengthy periods of time
- Excellent and confident communicator (Fluent in English, other languages a PLUS)
- Reliable, curious, engaging, informative, and interactive
- At least 1 year living in Vancouver OR knowledgeable about Vancouver's offerings (Tourist and Local Attractions)
- Knowledge of booking / reservations systems OR tech savvy and a fast learner with computerized software and systems (Fast Learner)
- Exceptional communication skills and customer service
- Highly Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail
- Performs professionally and calmly under pressure
- Passion, a positive attitude, flexibility and always curious to learn more
- Food & Beverage Experience (Bonus)
- Tour Operations Experience (Bonus)
- Fluency in other languages (Bonus)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $17.40-$19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
