Heavy Haul Truck Driver
Farlinger & Associates is a Canadian owned and operated civil construction company. We offer exemplary construction and maintenance services across western Canada and operate out of our office, in Sherwood Park, Alberta. As we continue to grow, Farlinger & Associates is looking for a Heavy Haul Truck Driver.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
As a class 1 Lowbed Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, tracked crawlers, dozers, snowcats, and tractors, to various work sites. Your duties will include:
- Loading and unloading equipment and following site safety rules and regulations.
- Ensuring loads are secure by utilizing chains, tarps, and straps as required.
- Obtaining necessary permits for hauling as required.
- Performing general maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle as required, including daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks.
- Maintaining e-log books, field level hazard assessments and time sheets in an accurate and timely manner.
- Participating in toolbox and safety meetings.
- Working with other members of the team in a professional manner to ensure we provide the best service possible to clients.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 1 year operating a tractor, loading/unloading and transporting heavy equipment with multi axle (jeeps/boosters/trailers)
- Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment within the construction industry
- Willingness to work extended hours including weekends
- Possess or be willing to obtain the following safety tickets: CSTS with OSSA Regional Orientation or OSSA BSO or CSO, First Aid, H2S Alive.
- Able to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs.
**Working Conditions**
- Will be working outdoors in all weather conditions. Whether it's rain, shine, or snow, you'll need to work in diverse weather environments.
- Must be able to work up to 12 hours a day.
- Some sites are in remote areas, depending on the location LOA/accommodation provided.
This position is based out of our Strathcona County yard.
Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
