**ABOUT THE POSITION**

Loqui is looking for an experienced bartender to fill out their team on a part-time or full-time permanent basis. Bartenders are responsible for several functions including, but not limited to, providing exceptional customer service to all guests in a prompt and friendly manner, following all laws and regulations regarding liquor service, stocking the bar and cooler, cocktail creation, setting up and taking down the bar completely, and preparing all the bar syrups, and garnishes.

**WHO WE ARE**

We are independent owners of a new restaurant in the final stages of completing the construction of our brand new building in the Riversdale neighbourhood. We will look to use global inspiration to highlight the bounty of Saskatchewan’s farmers and producers. The space is a brand new build from the ground up, with a mid-century modern design, all new bar equipment, and a focus on great food alongside craft cocktails and local beers.

**WHAT YOU'LL GET**

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Create, mix, pour, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the bar and restaurant guests.
- Consistently execute drink production principles and practices, ensuring that all recipes and practices are followed.
- Provide the highest level of customer service to all guests, while maintaining a personable and professional image representative of the restaurant’s values.
- Building and maintaining regular clientele.
- Adapt to different personalities of clients, vendors, and coworkers to maintain high service levels and efficient operations.
- Ensure all services and orders delivered within the bar operation are charged for correctly.
- Maintain effective cost and portion controls to meet cost % targets.
- Ensure all surfaces and equipment are kept clean and in excellent condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure drink times are as fast and accurate as required.
- Assist in placing product orders and ensure fresh product through a detailed and updated order guide.
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
- Work overtime when needed and assist the workload of others.

**WHAT YOU HAVE**
- Basic knowledge and passion for craft cocktails and beer.
- 1-2 years’ bartending experience is preferred.
- Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.
- Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
- Basic math skills, can handle money, and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Valid Saskatchewan SIRS (Serve it Right Saskatchewan) certification.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Capacity to safely lift and easily maneuver potentially heavy trays of food and drinks.

Must be 19 or older as alcohol service and open scheduling availability is a requirement.
