Grademan/earthworks Foreman

**D’Orazio Infrastructure Group is looking for a Grademan/Earthworks Foreman in Oakville, ON**

The Grademan/Earthworks Foreman will support multiple construction projects in the GTA. This position presents applicants with an opportunity to gain exposure to a great working environment with experienced support. **What you’ll do as the Grademan/Foreman**:

- Oversee a crew of 4-8 people on Earthworks and grading projects throughout the GTA.
- Bulk earth-moving, grading, bulk excavations, detail excavation (foundations), road/parking lot grading, slab-on-grade grading, etc.
- Execute work and meet production timelines.
- Submit daily reports of work executed, along with productions, employee time and safety submittals.
- Work and communicate with Superintendents and Project Managers/Coordinators relative to progress and site issues.
- Consult blueprints, designs, and client instructions to develop construction plans for your team.
- Manage construction sites, ensuring that workers adhere to construction plans and safety codes.
- Create and enforce employee schedules and construction timelines.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- Knowledge of construction techniques and safety practices
- General GPS survey knowledge
- GPS experience is an asset
- The ability to read and understand blueprints, city specifications and grade stakes
- General knowledge of proper equipment operation
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience with heavy earthworks equipment, supervising crews, managing job sites, and coordinating daily activities
- Experience conducting daily & weekly safety meetings
- Experience with filling out daily logs, forms, and time sheets for the crew
- Experience managing crews ranging from 4 to 8 members
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.

Additionally, bulk earthmoving, grading, foundation excavation site remediation, slab-on-grade grading and all other facets of earthmoving remain as fundamentals parts of our business._
