**PERMA-DRY® is a leader in basement waterproofing, water control and structural foundation repairs, with over 40 years in the industry and 12 locations throughout the Maritimes. PERMA-DRY® is looking for Watperoofing Labourers to join our growing team based out of our Porters Lake (HRM), NS office.**

**No experience is necessary, training will be provided. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of manual labour tasks as part of our waterproofing team.**

**Job Summary**:
Waterproofing Labourers are responsible for performing a variety of heavy manual labour duties to assist the waterproofing team on the worksite.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Load, unload and move tools, equipment and materials around the worksite
- Digging, spreading, and levelling of dirt, gravel and concrete as required
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work areas
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour
- Ability to lift 30kg (66lbs) on a regular basis
- Be aware of surroundings at all times
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
- Ensure safety of fellow employees
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience**:

- Ability to follow a firm work schedule as directed by supervisor
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Previous experience as a labourer or construction labour considered and asset
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to work in all weather conditions for long periods of time
- Ability to efficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that all tasks are being completed safely and in a timely manner
- Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks requiring the use of independent judgment and action
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Working safely

**Working Conditions**:
Waterproofing Labourers typically report to work at our office location in Porters Lake fro 7am, where they will help the Forman load up for the day. Occasionally, you will report directly to the customer's address. We work at customer's residential homes throughout the mainland of the province. The Waterproofing Labourer has a physically strenuous and demanding job. The Waterproofing Labourer will be lifting, pulling and managing heavy equipment and objects, requiring the use of PPE, Hardhat, Steel Toe Boots, and reflective vest to minimize risk on the worksite. The worksite environment for this position is outside in varying weather conditions.

**We offer competitive wages based on skill and experience starting at**:

- Inexperienced, unskilled labour **starting** at: $18.00/hr + 4% Vacation Pay + 2.4% Holiday Pay
- Itermediate skill and experience **starting** at: $22.00/hr + 4% Vacation Pay + 2.4% Holiday Pay
- Skilled and experienced labour **starting** at $24.00/hr + 4% Vacation Pay + 2.4% Holiday Pay
- Wage will be determined by experience and skill.
