Gentek Building Products is an industry-leading manufacturer of vinyl and aluminum siding and windows. Our vinyl siding manufacturing facility, located in Burlington, Ontario, is currently hiring for the position of Quality Technician.

**Job Description**:
You will ensure the efficiency of the Quality Management System to support the maintenance of 3rd party certifications and internal quality objectives in accordance with performance excellence and continuous improvement culture. More specifically you will:

- Assist in monitoring of the quality management system
- Support Quality Supervisor in ensuring that the quality management system achieves its intended results through 3rd party audits and internal quality objectives
- Assist 3rd party auditors in completion of third party audit requirements.
- Collect data and samples to support compliance to all registered 3rd party certification programs
- Provide support for any testing as required
- Assist in the use of the process approach and risk based thinking through corrective actions.
- Perform random line checks to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance to internal standards.
- Assist in colour analysis and investigation for daily production issues.
- Assist in documenting customer complaints and track progress through non-conformance process.
- Analyze and provide data to evaluate customer complaints with recommendation for appropriate disposition.
- Monitor and maintain QA system for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform and document calibration of testing tools and equipment.
- Document customer complaints and track progress through non-conformance process.
- Perform colour analysis as required, which will include retrieving data from the colour meters and analyze colour trends.
- Complete product testing to support warranty department.
- Conduct other quality tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications**:

- College Diploma or University Degree in a related technical discipline is preferred.
Minimum two years inspection experience or equivalent product knowledge. Vinyl siding experience would be considered an asset.
- Experience with ISO standards, ASTM standards and/or equivalent quality standards.
Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and adhere to drawings, specifications, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and related quality control documentation and standards.
Solid background in gauge and calibration processes.
- Standard computer skills, knowledge of ERP systems, Intermediate Excel knowledge (pivot tables, formulas).
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
- Excellent organization skills. Ability to multi-task and follow instructions to accomplish established goals.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
