Goodwin Tool & Machine Ltd. is a well respected and dynamic local company that has been in business since 2011. We are looking to expand our workforce and invite an experienced machinist to join our team of skilled professionals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes and horizontal boring mills
- Ability to create, read and edit programs
- Machine product to required tolerances, defined by customer requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
- Operate forklifts for material handling and loading equipment
- Good housekeeping practices to ensure a safe and organized work environment
- Assist and support coworkers in their duties as required
- Take care to perform all job duties with accuracy
- Work to achieve production objectives
- Produce work that maintains a high level of quality
- Work overtime as required

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**:

- General Machinist certificate is an asset
- Experience with set up and operation of CNC equipment is required
- An established understanding of the principles of machining is essential
- Knowledge of cutting tools and appropriate speeds and feeds
- Ambitious with a strong work ethic
- Team player with a positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solution minded, demonstrating creative problem solving and analytical skills
- Must be fluent in the English language
- High School diploma required

**Experience**:

- Machinist, 5 years (preferred)

**Schedule**:

- Monday - Thursday 7AM - 4PM, Friday 7AM - 2PM

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
